Lauren Fuentes

Senior Vice President of Child and Family Wellbeing Programs

Lauren Fuentes serves as CHS’ Senior Vice President of Child and Family Wellbeing Programs with more than two decades of experience working in child welfare working on the frontline as well as rising to leadership positions. She leads the planning, development, and delivery of the Child and Family Wellbeing programs and services, facilitating the achievement of financial and operational results.   She holds her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Rhode Island and a Masters in Social Work from Florida Atlantic University.

Stephanie Cager

Senior Vice President of Legal Affairs

Stephanie Cager serves as Senior Vice President of Legal Affairs, bringing a global legal education and diverse experiences from both the public and private sectors. She began her legal career as a paralegal with Children’s Home Society of Florida (CHS) and has since returned to the organization as Senior Vice President of Legal Affairs.

James Atkinson

Senior Vice President of Development

James Atkinson serves as Senior Vice President of Development for Children’s Home Society of Florida (CHS), where he leads and oversees the organization’s statewide development teams. In this role, he drives philanthropic growth across major gifts, corporate partnerships, foundation relations, special events, and donor engagement initiatives that support children and families across Florida.

Amanda Funk serves as Senior Vice President of Finance and Accounting for Children’s Home Society of Florida (CHS), where she provides strategic leadership and oversight of the organization’s finance, accounting, payroll, procurement, and facilities functions.

Ernest Hamilton

Ernest “Ernie” Hamilton is a Florida native with more than 30 years of experience in the nonprofit sector, bringing deep expertise in executive leadership, mental health, homelessness, child welfare, and child advocacy.

Sherri Gonzales is a mission‑driven executive with more than 20 years of experience advancing community‑based strategies that strengthen children, families, and communities across Florida.
