Pathways to Adulthood and Economic Opportunity

The transition to adulthood is a pivotal stage when young people are shaping their identity, goals, and future independence.

We focus on ensuring youth and young adults ages 14–24 have access to the experiences, relationships, and supports they need to succeed. Through career exploration, skill-building, paid work experiences, life skills education, behavioral health support, and caring mentors, they build confidence and readiness for adulthood.

The shift from high school to postsecondary education or training is a key milestone. CHS’s Community Impact Model supports this transition through college and career planning, help with admissions and financial aid, and preparation for academic and training expectations.

This continuum recognizes that young people take many paths—including working, attending part-time, or returning to education—and helps ensure they persist through completion and achieve stability.

Together, these supports strengthen Every Child, Every Dream, Every Future by opening doors to opportunity and independence.

Our Community Partnership Schools connect middle and high school students to real-world opportunities and the support they need to succeed.
