Tara Hormell
Chief Program Officer
Tara Hormell serves as Chief Program Officer for Children’s Home Society of Florida (CHS), bringing more than 30 years of experience advancing effective models that improve outcomes for children and families. In her role, she oversees the financial and operational performance, business growth and leadership development across CHS’ four core strategies: child and family development, behavioral health, child and family well-being, and community solutions, including Community Partnership Schools.
Tara previously served as Senior Vice President of Operations beginning in 2018 and joined CHS in 2008 as Executive Director in the Greater Orlando community. She has played a key role in the development and evolution of the Community Partnership Schools™ model , contributing to its growth and impact across Florida.
She holds a master’s degree in Human Development and Family Life, with an emphasis in childhood development and applied behavioral sciences, from the University of Kansas.
Tara is the mother of one son, who is currently a student at the University of Central Florida pursuing a degree in sports management.
