This year has been a grand celebration! As we reflect on the past year and our incredible 121-year legacy, it’s a perfect time to express our deepest appreciation for your support and dedication.

We wouldn’t be where we are today without YOU … our cherished donors, devoted volunteers, dedicated board members, passionate team members, and steadfast supporters … YOU make our mission possible. As we enter this season of generosity, we are filled with gratitude for each and every one of you.

A Look Back on our 120th Year ….

There has been so much GOOD to celebrate this year. Here are just a few of our proudest moments that wouldn’t have been possible without your support.

Children’s Home Society of Florida Day

The Florida Cabinet declared January 17, 2023 Children’s Home Society of Florida Day. The proclamation stated that CHS is the leader in enacting change for children, from driving policy establishing child labor laws and compulsory education laws to fiercely advocating for children’s rights in foster care and developing innovative solutions that turn odds into opportunities for children and their parents.

Community Partnership Schools Day at the Capitol

CHS dedicated the day to advocating for brighter futures for students across the state. CHS brought together students, school faculties, and leaders from around the state to ask for an $11 million legislative investment to expand this model’s proven success.

Florida Head Start Association Teacher of the Year Award

CHS team member Zaida received the Florida Head Start Association’s Teacher of the Year Award. This honor is a testament to Zaida’s dedication and hard work!

Finding Forever Families: Celebrating National Adoption Month

November is National Adoption Month — a time to recognize the bonds of love shared by adoptive families who have opened their hearts to provide safe and caring homes for children.

During the past year, 310 children found forever families through CHS adoption services … children like 10-year-old Alana, whose forever family went above and beyond to make sure they could care for her special needs. They always put her best interests first, which led to remarkable progress in her development.

“We want to be as right for her, as we know she is for us, and are prepared for this to take as long as it takes and be as challenging as it needs to be to ensure a good fit, and eventually a smooth transition to permanency for Alana.”
