Children’s Home Society of Florida honors Representative Altman for his commitment to Florida kids

Children’s Home Society of Florida (CHS), the state’s largest provider of services to children and families, has named Representative Thad Altman 2021 Representative of the Year for his commitment to strengthen the child welfare system and improve lifetime outcomes for children.

During the 2021 Legislative Session, Representative Altman — leading the Children, Families & Seniors Subcommittee — took a hands-on approach to addressing the important and complex challenges of the state’s child welfare system. Representative Altman listened to Children’s Home Society of Florida leaders and frontline professionals to better understand the workforce behind creating a stable and sustainable future for vulnerable children throughout Florida.

“Representative Altman is a true advocate working to build a brighter future for Florida’s child welfare system,” said Andry Sweet, CEO & President of Children’s Home Society of Florida. “We are tremendously grateful for his unwavering leadership to create more positive changes in public policy and we look forward to the 2022 Legislative Session to further the progress made this year. Thank you Representative Altman for all of the good you do.”
