Bring out your sparklers and fireworks … it’s time to celebrate our Regional Executive Directors (R.E.D.)! These incredible leaders keep our mission at the forefront as they work closely with team members in their regions to help ensure the safety and well-being of the kids and families we serve.  As we celebrate the holiday this weekend, we also want to make sure we celebrate the good in each region here at Children’s Home Society of Florida.

We asked a few of our R.E.D.s to share what motivates as a leader and to DO GOOD every day. Here’s what they had to say:

Ernest Hamilton | Greater Northeast Region

“Waking up every day to do GOOD and ending the day knowing that I made a difference is what motivates me. I love to inspire others and provide a sense of hope knowing that together we are and will become better for our children.”

Lindsey Cannon | Emerald Coast and Western

“Serving children and families in a way that promotes keeping family together and removing barriers to their success is what motivates me.  I know that sounds cliché’ but it is my drive and my faithful command.  There are many things I am not good at, just ask my husband, but I am right where I am supposed to be, doing the work that fills me up.”

Cecka Rose-Green | Big Bend – Tallahassee Area

“I am very honored to lead this region, the place that I have called my home since the age of 6. I am motivated daily by the commitment and dedication of our Team Members, many of whom dig as deep as they can to assist our children and families when they are operating on fumes. I also am inspired by the people we serve, when they find success, healing and learn how to recover from what many believe to be insurmountable obstacles. It is a privilege to be a part of this region and I give thanks each and every day!”

Sherri Gonzales | Central Florida and Space Coast

“What motivates me is serving a team that never gives up on the children and families we serve. They pour their all into the work they do because, yes, it matters. They teach children how to trust, they give parents confidence and they give our families and communities the support they have craved. This support will undoubtedly impact generations. I am inspired every day by the endless dedication our Central Florida and Space Coast team displays to the CHSFL Mission and at the end of the day, our children and families will reap the rewards of their hard work, genuine passion, resilience, and teamwork.”

Jessica Davis | Polk, Hardee, Highland, Marion, Lake, Sumter & Seminole Counties

“I enjoy my job and I’m highly motivated. I stay committed to the work and I am motivated to achieve beyond expectations, my own and others. I am only as good as my team! By far, the biggest lesson learned from working with other team members is a much deeper appreciation for what they do. I am very blessed to be able to serve in a leadership capacity that allows me to help those that are going thru a difficult time in their life. I know that because of OUR work we are able to change lives, offer hope, create new opportunities, help those achieve their goals and reach their potential. This is rewarding! Lastly, I enjoy inspiring others. It’s a self-rewarding feeling that comes from inspiring people and making a difference in their lives. I believe that is one of my purposes in this life.”
