Orlando, Fla. (June 23, 2025) —Children’s Home Society of Florida (CHS) is proud to announce a generous $50,000 donation from the Kiwanis Club of Orlando Foundation, Inc, marking a significant investment in the mental health and well-being of children and families across Central Florida.

This impactful gift will directly support vital CHS services and programs in the Greater Orlando area. Of the total donation, $15,000 will be allocated to Targeted Case Management, helping connect families with personalized support and critical resources; another $15,000 will go toward Behavioral Health Services, expanding access to mental health counseling and intervention for children. The remaining $20,000 will benefit Carver Middle School, one of CHS’s Community Partnership Schools, helping to integrate academic, health, and social services directly on campus.

These funds will fuel CHS’ statewide mission to empower children and families through early intervention, prevention, and mental health support — with a strong focus on the success of Community Partnership Schools, where comprehensive services play a vital role in helping students overcome barriers to learning and thrive in and out of the classroom.

“We’re incredibly grateful to the Kiwanis Club of Orlando Foundation for their continued commitment to helping children thrive,” said Andry Sweet, President and CEO of Children’s Home Society of Florida. “This gift will strengthen critical mental health services and support innovative programs that bring hope, stability, and opportunity to students and families throughout Central Florida.”

The Kiwanis Club of Orlando Foundation has long been a champion for children and families in Central Florida, and this latest gift underscores its ongoing dedication to improving lives through local philanthropy.

“We are proud to support Children’s Home Society of Florida and their powerful work in both mental health and education,” said Rick Ahl, President of Kiwanis Club of Orlando Foundation. “Together, we are creating brighter futures for our community’s children.”

This generous support from the Kiwanis Club of Orlando Foundation will help CHS continue to provide critical mental health services and educational support to children and families throughout Central Florida. Together, we’re building stronger, healthier communities where every child has the opportunity to thrive.
