Arrow Group executive brings decades of public service, policy expertise
to one of Florida’s oldest child welfare organizations

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – June 9, 2025 – Children’s Home Society of Florida (CHS) proudly announces the election of Ron Brisé, Vice President and Senior Advisor at Arrow Group, as Chair of its State Board of Directors. Brisé’s appointment reflects CHS’ steadfast commitment to bold, visionary leadership that empowers children and families across Florida.

“Ron brings a deep understanding of Florida’s communities and public policy,” said Andry Sweet, President and CEO of CHS. “His insight and leadership will be instrumental as we continue to strengthen families and build brighter futures throughout the state.”

Founded in 1902, CHS is one of Florida’s oldest and most respected nonprofit organizations dedicated to child and family well-being. The organization has consistently evolved to meet the changing needs of communities, offering innovative programs and services that prevent foster care involvement and disrupt cycles of poverty before they begin. Its flagship initiative, the Community Partnership Schools™ model, brings together schools, healthcare providers, nonprofits, and other community partners to provide wraparound support for students and families—addressing barriers to learning and helping children thrive both in and out of the classroom.

“It’s an incredible honor to step into this role,” said Ron Brisé. “As a CHS Board member since 2018, I’ve seen firsthand the life-changing impact of this organization. I’m excited to help carry forward its legacy of innovation and compassion.”

Brisé brings a wealth of experience from both the public and private sectors. Elected to the Florida Legislature in 2006, he served as Democratic Whip and Vice Chair of the Florida Conference of Black State Legislators. He later chaired the Florida Public Service Commission, where he championed initiatives to improve quality of life in underserved communities.

Currently, Brisé serves as Vice President and Senior Advisor at Arrow Group, a government affairs consulting firm launched in January 2025. Arrow Group, a subsidiary of Gunster, specializes in advocacy across regulated industries—including energy, health care, land use, transportation, and telecommunications—delivering results through deep subject matter expertise and strategic relationships.

Both Brisé and Sweet are alumni of Leadership Florida, a statewide program that unites leaders committed to driving meaningful change. Their shared connection underscores a mutual dedication to building stronger communities across Florida.
