.) She isn’t afraid to “dive in” to a new adventure! Snorkeling is one of her favorite hobbies and she even has her diver’s certification! When she prefers to stay on land, you can catch her riding her motorcycle on the open road. If she feels like taking it easy at home, you can catch her on the couch enjoying reruns of the TV show Reba.

.) Similar to life on the front lines, she knows patience and hard work can lead to a beautiful outcome. Although challenging at times—especially in the Florida heat—she tends to her yard and flowerbeds at home daily. She knows a little persistence and dedication are worth it!

.) Kymm joined CHS in 2008 as executive director in Greater Northeast Florida. While there, she led a team of more than 200 professionals. Under her leadership, the region implemented four Community Partnership Schools and expanded early childhood education and in-school counseling services.

.) She serves on the Florida Head Start Association Board of Directors and the CHS Human Rights/Diversity Equity and Inclusion Steering  Committee.

.) Growing up, Kymm wanted to be an academic superstar teaching high school math and science with aspirations of educational leadership. During a part time work experience working as a tutor with young men who were placed in a residential facility, her calling changed.

She met a young man named Anthony who she wanted to help in not only academics, but his life goals as well. At that very moment she knew that she wanted to work with children and families so they could realize the brightest future possible – no matter what that looked like through their eyes.  She changed her major and moved toward a different line of service to others.
