Tallahassee, Fla. (July 12, 2021) — Children’s Home Society of Florida (CHS) has appointed Former Tallahassee City Commissioner Gil Ziffer to its statewide Board of Directors.

Ziffer, a Tallahassee resident, is owner and president of Ziffer Stanberry Strategic Communications. He has more than three decades of experienced leadership in marketing and public relations consulting. Ziffer served on the Tallahassee City Commission from 2009 through 2018. During that time, he also served as president of the Florida League of Cities, and as a member of the National League of Cities board of directors. He is also currently the president of the Florida State Parks Foundation.

Ziffer joins the CHS governing board dedicated to empowering children and their families to find – and pursue – opportunities for success and happiness. Through this leadership role with CHS, he will help more children and teens across Florida realize their full potential as CHS delivers innovative solutions in child welfare, early childhood, mental health counseling, mentoring, job training, youth outreach and community partnership schools.
