November is National Adoption Month — a time to celebrate the profound love and commitment of adoptive families who open their hearts to children in need.
Over the past year, more than 300 children have found forever homes through CHS adoption services, including the Hackett Family, whose story began with fostering children through CHS. What started as a simple desire to help quickly blossomed into a deep bond as they welcomed each child into their home.
Adoption profoundly transformed their lives. Starting as a newly married couple, they soon became a loving family of five. With their second adoption, they joyfully expanded into a family of seven.
Their days became filled with doctor’s appointments, homework sessions, and cheering at sporting events. More importantly, their home became a place overflowing with joy, laughter, and lots of love.
All five of the Hackett children found their forever home through CHS. Reflecting on their journey, Mr. Hackett recalls the seamless and organized process guided by Jennifer, their dedicated adoption specialist.
As they reflect on their journey during National Adoption Month, the Hackett Family encourages others considering adoption. They warmly advise,
“For any family considering adoption, I would say to them, don’t be afraid to open your home and your heart to a child or sibling group in need of a loving home.”
