Children’s Home Society of Florida (CHS) has appointed Jane Adams to its statewide Board of Directors.

Adams is the former Vice President of University Relations for the University of Florida, where she was responsible for government relations, public relations, marketing and external relations at the national, state and local levels. She retired from the university in May 2018. Prior to the University of Florida, Adams served as a public affairs executive for The Walt Disney Company and a Press Secretary in the United States Senate.

Adams joins the CHS governing board dedicated to end the need of foster care as we know it. Through this leadership role with CHS, she will help more children and teens across Florida realize their full potential as CHS delivers innovative solutions in child welfare, early childhood, mental health counseling, mentoring, job training, youth outreach and community partnership schools.

She also serves as a member of the Board of Supervisors for the Reedy Creek Improvement District and is the past chair of the Florida Chamber of Commerce Foundation.

Adams has a bachelor’s degree in journalism and political science from Iowa State University.
