In the weeks since Hurricane Ian made landfall, our communities in Southwest Florida are still reeling from the impact. The devastation in Fort Myers was at a level that no one anticipated or expected. Parts of the city still don’t have power and essential resources like water and diapers are still hard to find. Many families lost everything including their homes, some even lost their loved ones.

Even through their own heartbreak and hardship, our Healthy Families team in Fort Myers has been on the ground since day one bringing aid and good will to the families affected — and we couldn’t have done it without you.

“There’s been such an influx of donations coming through,” said Carla Jackson, Program Director for Healthy Families in Fort Myers. “I don’t know that we can measure the impact. Our families and team members are so grateful.”

Although we’ve been able to shining moments of hope and relief to families, there’s still so much work to be done. CHS Healthy Families in Fort Myers serves 110 families with infants and young children. Many are still displaced and still in need. If you would like to contribute to further relief efforts we have a variety of options available:
