Empowering families raising children ages 0 to 8

Being a parent can be tough — but you aren’t alone! If you have concerns about your child’s educational, developmental or behavioral growth, we’re here to help. We’re here to help ensure all children have the best possible start in life by providing free developmental and behavioral screenings and connecting them to the resources they need to succeed.

Qualifications

You may qualify for Help Me Grow Alachua if:

  • You live in Alachua County
  • You have children ages 0-8
  • You have questions or concerns about your child’s developmental, behavioral or educational growth and progress

What to expect

We’re here to support you every step of the way! When you contact Help Me Grow Alachua, a Care Coordinator will reach out to you to listen, provide support, and assess the needs of your child and family.  We will:

  • Offer free screenings to help provide insight on your child’s developmental and behavioral skills
  • Communicate with your family so you fully understand the assessments’ results
  • Provide appropriate referrals to local services and supports to address concerns that may have arisen
  • Schedule and complete follow-ups to check in on referrals and services, and to inquire about additional questions or concerns your family may have
