Through our continued partnership with families within nearly every community in Florida, we know just how beautifully diverse our state truly is. It’s an asset, a treasure, and what makes our Sunshine State a true gem.
We know we’re stronger together when learning from one another and that understanding our needs and challenges is key to providing the best solutions and support in our mission of good.
After all, our neighbors are a beautiful mosaic of all nationalities, heritages, colors and abilities. They’re members of the LGBTQ+ community, females rising ahead, veterans … and so much more.
They’re the “why” behind our passion for Equity, Diversity and Inclusion… and why we’re proud to do our part in moving the needle forward as we help create greater opportunities for all.
We’re committed to empowering the families in our care every day to navigate tough topics together. Within our counseling program, our experienced counselors partner with families to navigate tough topics and vital conversations while diving deeper into the personal perspectives experienced every day.

We believe in the power of diversity, equity and inclusion in enabling us to achieve our mission of building bridges to success for children.
We believe a diverse organization encompasses the full array of individual differences among people, including age, culture, disability, educational level, team member status, ethnicity, family status, gender, military and veteran status, national or regional origin, organizational level and function, perspectives, physical attributes, race, sexual orientation, gender identity and expression, socioeconomic status, spiritual beliefs and thinking style.
We believe an equitable organization promotes justice, impartiality and fairness within its policies, practices, processes, procedures and distribution of resources. Equity is important because it guarantees fair treatment, access, opportunity and advancement while at the same time striving to identify and eliminate barriers that have prevented the full participation of some groups. The principle of equity acknowledges there are historically underserved and underrepresented populations, and that fairness regarding these unbalanced conditions is needed to assist equality in the provision of effective opportunities to all groups.
We also believe an inclusive organization actively and intentionally engages with diversity, creating an environment in which all are welcomed, respected, supported and valued to fully participate and bring their full, authentic selves to work. An inclusive environment values the talents, beliefs, backgrounds and ways of living of its members, respectfully hears different perspectives when decision-making and promotes and sustains a sense of belonging and involvement.
