Winter Park, Fla.–Children’s Home Society of Florida recently received a $50,000 grant through the Orlando Sentinel Family Fund, a McCormick Foundation Fund. The grant will support The Faine House, a program providing young adults formerly in foster care with the resources and support they need to create their own path to independence and self-reliance.

“We’re thankful for the constant support of the Orlando Sentinel Family Fund, a McCormick Foundation Fund,” said Tara Hormell, executive director of Children’s Home Society of Florida. “Their donation to the Faine House will benefit the lives of Central Florida’s young adults exiting foster care in a tremendous way.”

Over the past five years, the Orlando Sentinel Family Foundation, a McCormick Foundation Fund, has donated $165,000 to the program.

$585,000 was distributed to 13 nonprofit organizations in Central Florida through the Orlando Sentinel Family Fund in this grant cycle.
