CHS FIRST: Family Intervention, Resource & Support Team

The CHS FIRST (Family Intervention, Resource & Support Team) team is here to provide you and your family with services and support in Escambia County. CHS FIRST consists of specially trained caseworkers who deliver child-focused, family-centered care by providing in-home services to families in crisis.

Who Qualifies?

Here is a look at who qualifies for the two types of services, Wraparound Services and In Home Support Services.

  • WRAP (Intervention & Prevention Services in Escambia County):
    • For a family to qualify, they must be assessed by DCF as a high or very high-risk family but the children in the home are deemed to be safe.
    • Families with children from ages 0-18
  • In-Home Support Services (Intervention & Prevention Services in Escambia County):
    • Families are referred by DCF and FFN to CHS for in-home support services
    • Families with children from ages 0-18
