Empowering pregnant and parenting teens

The Teen Parenting Program at Buckner Place in Jacksonville, Florida empowers pregnant and parenting teens, ages 13 to 19, to pursue meaningful, productive futures as they realize their full potential. Helping them when they need it the most by providing guidance and support, teaching them basic parenting or lifestyle skills and encouraging them to find and set goals.

What to expect?

Safe, stable housing to nurture moms and babies
Education planning (School, GED, Vocational)
Job planning and goal setting
Counseling
Parenting skills and attachment
Developing life skills (budgeting, house cleaning, cooking, securing transportation, selecting childcare)
Recreational activities
Planning for transitional independent living
Targeted case management

Who Qualifies?

Youth ages 13 to 18 may participate in the Buckner Place
Teens who are pregnant or post-partum and who are in foster care
Teens are referred to us by their caseworker and/or placement agencies
