Our goal is to reduce the needs for mental health hospitalizations and placement disruptions.

The Acute Intervention Team (AIT) is an on-call program in which a therapist is available after hours to provide support to foster families and children in care. The AIT is trained to assist those who are experiencing disruptive or dangerous behaviors within the home.

 

Who Qualifies?

  • Children who are in out of home placements in Duval County
  • Ages 0-17
  • Individuals in foster care or relative placements

What to expect?

  • An experienced therapist who can assist via telehealth or in-person
  • Helps individuals in deescalating situations and assess children in care
  • Provides needs assessment for any additional and/or ongoing support and recommends any other potential services for the child
