Championing Change through Advocacy

Thank you for joining us in advocating for additional legislative funding to sustain and expand Community Partnership Schools. Because of you, Florida’s Legislature approved an increase in funding, allocating $11 Million to support Florida’s Community Partnership Schools movement!

Together, we are removing barriers to learning and empowering more children to realize their full potential.

Senate Page Program Offers Students a Once-in-a-Lifetime Opportunity with a Peek Inside the Legislative Process

Throughout the 2023 legislative session, CHS partnered with the Florida Senate, gracious Tallahassee host families and generous donors to give teens the opportunity of a lifetime through our Senate Page program – for the 13th consecutive year!

This year, 16 emerging leaders served by CHS and our Community Partnership Schools spent a week at the Florida Capitol to receive hands-on experience in state government, meeting elected officials, assisting legislators with tasks on the chamber floor, and drafting and debating their own policy in a mock legislative session.

Their experience extended beyond the Capitol, as they found a “home away from home” with local families eager to provide a taste of Tallahassee. From family dinners to college tours, basketball games and Chamber meetings, our students received the star treatment, opening their eyes to the possibilities ahead.

Thank you for believing in the potential and futures of our kids! Because of you, their dreams are turning into reality!
