Preparing parents to be reunified with their children who have been in foster care.

The goal of the Parents as Partners Support group is to provide support and guidance for parents who are involved in the child welfare system and working to reunify with their children. Through this program, we work to prepare parents for reunification and to help ensure their children do not re-enter the child welfare system.

Who Qualifies?

  • Any parents involved with the Dependency court system
  • The support group is for all parents working with the Dependency system regardless of where they are in their case.
  • No referral is needed for parents to attend.

For more information call (863) 413-3126.

What to expect?

  • A welcoming support group of other parents that have been in the same situation that you have, judgement free.
    • Every meeting has a guest speaker who provides information on topics to help (self-care, learning styles for children, bonding, distress tolerance, etc.) and community supports that can assist you and your children.
  • Trained clinicians provide Circle of Security Parenting (evidence-based curriculum) to parents, foster parents and relatives/non-relatives.
  • Training is expected to help parents provide care which helps children feel safe and secure.
