Have you grown your family through adoption? Want to connect with others who have, too?
Join our adoptive parent support group!
We know the ups and downs of the adoption process can leave you feeling exhausted and frustrated. When you finally meet your child, it can be really helpful to talk with someone who understands the exhilarating - sometimes overwhelming - feelings of adoption.
And if you've already finalized the adoption, you can connect with others experiencing similar challenges and joys.
What can a support group offer me?
- Emotional support and guidance
- Communication about local issues and activities
- Workshops on topics helpful for prospective and experienced adoptive parents
- Information and referrals on agencies, attorneys, one-on-one support and more
- Social activities that provide opportunities for new friendships, connections and fun
We encourage you to participate in a support group before, during and after the adoption process. You'll learn and share great parenting tips and feel more joy in family relationships.
Participation is free and voluntary, and no type of contract or commitment is required. New groups are being developed in Gainesville, Lake City and Trenton.
