30thAnnual Caring Chefs raises $200,000 to benefit local children   

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (Oct. 30,2013) – Children’s Home Society of Florida’s 30th Annual Caring Chefs broke records raising more than $200,000 to help abused and neglected children along the First Coast.  “This year’s event is another great example of how the community pulls together to help our area’s most vulnerable children and families,” said Kymberly Cook, Executive Director of Children's Home Society of Florida..  “Our sponsors have set a new mark for the most funds raised in sponsorship -- $150,000 -- and our Caring Chefs continue to showcase their finest menu items. It’s a tremendous outpouring of support that will directly fund services for  our community’s children.”

Continuing the Caring Chefs’ tradition, restaurants participated in two contests during the evening: Best Booth and Fan Favorite. Winners included:

Best Booth

First place: Jacksonville Golf and Country Club

Second place: Sea Palms Resort and Country Club from St. Simons Island

Third place: Blue Bamboo

Honorable mention: Ponte Vedra’s Sawgrass Marriott’s Vernon’s
