Celebrating our child welfare professionals
We honor our unsung heroes all year long!
Working at Children’s Home Society of Florida for more than 12 years has allowed me to help and work with the youth…which has been a big passion of mine. As the adoption marketing specialist, it’s my job to let the community know that there are children and teens right here in our backyards that’ve been abused, neglected and abandoned and need loving homes.
I work hard to find loving families for children. Through the Heart Gallery – a traveling photo exhibit of local children waiting to be adopted – I bring faces of children and share their stories to the community in hopes that I can place them with a wonderful and loving family. I wrap the children and their stories in a bow and share it with the community. You know you have done your job when a child or sibling groups are wanted by families after seeing their photos at a community event or a story in the newspaper.
Even though I am out in the community trying to get children into loving homes, I also promote other Children’s Home Society of Florida programs. It’s all about getting the word out to our community. Because at the end of the day, it’s all about keeping children safe and healthy.
