Experience the rewards of fostering

Attend a free orientation session to learn about the process, requirements, joys and challenges of becoming a foster parent. Then, begin the journey of a lifetime!

All families interested in opening their hearts and homes by fostering must complete orientation and 21 hour PIP, a training course which will help prepare you for caring for children who've suffered abuse, neglect and/or abandonment. You may also find it helpful to visit our FAQ page to gain a better understanding of what it means to be a foster family. There is a critical need for homest willing to foster teenagers and sibling groups.

We hope to see you at an upcoming orientation!

Orientation:
(attendance in one orientation class is required prior to attending pre-service training)

Orientations are held on 4 Mondays each month:

First Monday of the Month @ 9 a.m.
Second Monday of the Month @ 1 p.m.
Third Monday of the Month @ 4 p.m.
Fourth Monday of the Month @ 6 p.m.

Orientation classes are held at Children's Home Society of Florida, 401 NE 4th Street, Ft. Lauderdale, FL 33301

Wednesdays – 6:30 – 9:30 p.m.  June 7, 14, 28, July 5, 12, 19, 26
Saturdays – 9:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.  July 29, August 5, August 12
Saturdays – 9:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.  September 16, 23, 30
Tuesdays – 6:30 – 9:30 p.m. October 10, 17, 24, 31, Nov. 7, 14, 21.
